The Easter Message
Welcome …
After a winter filled with ice storms, snowmaggedon, and endless rainy days, we are all surely happy to see Easter come around again. Perhaps the buds on the trees and bushes are a sign that better days are on the way. Perhaps the sun will shine again sometime near late July. Maybe? At least we hope.
Easter is more than just a day signalling a possible change in the weather, however. It is a reminder that the world’s great gloom has been overwhelmed by the bright Son of God. The fact that Jesus rose from the dead means that those who put their faith in Him are assured of better days to come. His resurrection guarantees our own. On this day, in particular, we celebrate a hope that cannot be dampened regardless of how much rain falls.
We are so glad you have chosen to join us for the celebration. We are praying that God will grant you eyes to see His goodness and ears to hear the message of Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Like the women at the tomb to whom the angel first relayed the message, we are praying that we will leave today with “great joy” in our hearts. He is risen!
