The Low Carb Lifestyle – Links & Information

The Low Carb Lifestyle – Links & Information

August 15, 2018 by Liz Gardner

The Low Carb Lifestyle – what’s it all about and what is the connection between diseases like diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cancer and heart disease; processed foods and sugar; overall health and well-being? I have received many questions on this subject since posting a few articles on “sugar” this past year. Plus … the response to Twitter tweets on this subject are always overwhelming. This article is simply links to recent articles and videos I send out to people to help them become more informed and to make changes in their own Lifestyle. Very best wishes …

“The cancers that seem most likely to be related to sugar consumption
are cancer of the large intestine  in men and in women,
and cancer of the breast in women.”
~ Dr John Yudkin  “Pure, White & Deadly” Pg 154 (1972)

Low Carb Diet & Diabetes

  • Dr. Sarah Hallberg – 18 min video on Reversing Diabetes
  • A list of Low Carb Diet studies courtesy Dr. Sarah Hallberg
This is only a very small amount of the mountain of data available online. My hope is that you or someone you know will have a better understanding of the health benefits of a low carbohydrate diet and how it can positively affect your weight, thoughts and life and help you become the “best you can be” now.  Please do not hesitate to send this article to family and friends. Good health and happiness …

Final thoughts in closing: Several years ago we changed our diet,  simply for health reasons – it did not cost extra money or time to change our lifestyle & in fact it seemed to make life a lot easier and the food tasted better.  As a two-time cancer survivor, not on prescription medications, we are very happy we made the change.

“… there is no acceptable reason for recommending that sugar intake should not be reduced, or that it should be reduced only as part of a general reduction of food. It is after all the only food that supplies nothing whatever in the way of nutrients”
