    Be aware of your sources

I recently came across some information online from a few years ago that related to a well-known health watch blog and I was interested to read that the writer claimed to be a  qualified doctor, but it appears this was not the case.  The situation involved law suits, etc, and should be a good wake-up call for us all.

Who said that - the Source ?

This is simply a reminder to always consider your sources and don't believe everything you read on the internet ~ including information in my blog!  Check out the links and references in articles you are particularly interested in. I always try, to the best of my ability, to research information and quote reliable and known sites. Remember many (most?) comments made online are personal opinions of the author / writer and many of us have honest convictions, to ourselves at  least, about a wide variety of topics. In the words of Edgar Allan Poe ~

“Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear.”

    No Free Medical Advice

My concern - especially if you have serious health problems - is to please check all your sources carefully, especially before taking medical advice.  Above all, in my humble opinion, try and remain balanced and do not drastically change your Lifestyle or diet without first checking with your family doctor and other medical professionals on your health team. My oncologist was the first to make a few recommendations to my daily diet, as well as a few other suggestions, but said not to make any other radical changes at this time.

Truths and roses have thorns about them

    Important

    • The information contained in this blog is based on personal opinion and experiences and is not to be misconstrued in any way as health care advice. It is provided for interest and, hopefully, learning purposes.
    • Always seek qualified medical care and guidance if you think you have a health concern.  The author assumes no responsibility for all content including information from other sources (such as recipes).
    • Again, when making changes in your life, advise your physician, health care provider or oncologist; opinions and suggestions are not a medical, dietary, or product recommendation.
